I have recently decided to get back into photography. I always loved photography and especially conceptual photography. The idea of telling a story or expressing what is going on in your life or in your head through a photograph is something that really resonates with me. I’m a huge fan of photographer called Rosie Hardy. Her work and the way she turned her self-expression into successful career is truly inspirational. She is an incredible storyteller and a living proof that you can build a successful career out of doing something that you really love even if it just started of as a hobby or it is not an obvious career move.
Going back to my photography journey, I have now finished my postgraduate studies and I have a little bit more time to pursue things I enjoy doing just for fun. Like I said I like conceptual photography and the idea of telling stories through photographs but I also enjoy visiting a new place and snapping a picture of landscape to create a lasting memory.
I recently visited a famous English landmark of Beachy Head. I have headed to Beachy Head very early to see the sunrise accompanied by a friend. I have to say getting up that early was really not something I enjoyed doing but it was definitely worth it in the end. The cliff top walk was very nice, the scenery was beautiful and I really enjoyed the sunrise colours in the sky. The stillness and calmness of the sea and the surroundings was very soothing. I snapped some shots with my friend and had a snack overlooking the Beachy Head lighthouse. It was a perfect spot.
Overall it was a great experience. It was nice getting back into doing something I love like photography and combining it with my wanderlust. I would also recommend sunrise as a good time to enjoy the sights if it’s peaceful and tranquillity that you are after 😉
